Vice President, Corporate Sustainability
Raheem is a veteran sustainability professional with nearly twenty-five years of experience developing and implementing business-focused strategies for sustainable operations across a variety of organizations. His career prior to joining Moody’s includes six years at Lockheed Martin as the Senior Manager of Corporate Sustainability, three years as Principal Environmental Consultant with AECOM, seven years as Director of Environment, Health, Safety, and Fire Life Safety at GSA’s Public Buildings Service, and ten years as Environmental Management Consultant with LMI Consulting. Raheem’s experience spans the full scope of sustainability from EHS management to climate change adaptation. He has led sustainability integration at military bases, postal service facilities, oil refineries, residential properties, and corporate offices.
Sustainability Reporting Manager
Abbey joined Moody’s Corporate Sustainability Group in October 2023. She guides the development of sustainability strategies and initiatives, within supply chain, procurement, and real estate operations. Working across Moody’s departments, Abbey partners with Risk Management to assess and mitigate environmental and social risks embedded in Moody’s operations and investments. Her efforts contribute to Moody’s commitment to advancing environmental stewardship and social responsibility across its operations. Prior to joining Moody’s, Abbey worked in sustainability in the real estate sector, where she developed ESG strategies and initiatives, managed physical climate risks and resiliency, and created public disclosures and policies. Abbey holds a Bachelor of the Arts in Environmental Studies and Communications from Hobart and William Smith College and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Sustainability Management at Columbia University.
ESG Controller
Erin is from Louisiana and received a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Accounting at LSU. Erin has worked in a variety of industries in an audit type-role including external consulting, oil and gas, government, tech, and now finance where she is the ESG Controller at Moody’s. Outside of work, Erin enjoys spending time with family and friends, spoiling her two puppies, bird watching, and listening to music (she plays the piano as a hobby). Erin also enjoys volunteering at the retirement home in her area.
Highlights
Greenhouse gas emissions from data centers worldwide are forecast to rise from 200 megatons (Mt) of CO2 equivalent in 2024 to 600 Mt in 2030, according to new research from Morgan Stanley. Cumulatively, these add to 2,500 Mt through 2030, and include both power-based emissions (60%) and embodied emissions (40%) driven by construction and the manufacturing of equipment for the centers.
